Kaya Instruments „Komodo“ MXM is a CoaXPress 2.1 frame grabber with Mobile PCI Express Module form factor for laptops. It has 4 channels for 50 Gbps throughput and supports PCIe Gen3 with 8 lanes.
The Kaya Instruments “Komodo II” CoaXPress 12G MXM frame grabber supports the CoaXPress v2.1 standard. It receives video streams from up to 4 CXP links in single, dual, or quad modes. It can also be used for simultaneous capture from multiple cameras. Each link supports standard CoaXPress bitrates of up to 12.5 Gbps.
This frame grabber conforms to the compact “Mobile PCI Express Module” MXM standard. It is rugged and reliable and the four corner mounting holes make it particularly resistant to shock and vibrations. These features make the Komodo II CoaXPress MXM ideally suited for industrial, defense, and aerospace Machine Vision Systems and applications.
The Komodo II CoaXPress 12G MXM can easily receive video streams on the CoaXPress links and transmit them to computer memory through the PCIe interface. This MXM frame grabber also provides an external GPIO for machine control signals, such as triggers, timers, shaft encoders, exposure control and general I/O which can be controlled besides video stream acquisition. This frame grabber uses standard Micro-BNC connectors as a CoaXPress interface to the camera. Host communication is via PCIe Gen3 x8 for video uploading and configuration.
